The Museum of Ceramics is installed since 1984 as part of the old hotel built in 1657 Hocqueville and redecorated in the eighteenth century. It has a collection of about 6000 ceramics from the sixteenth to twentieth centuries, from the most famous factories (Delft, Nevers, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and Strasbourg). There are still a majority of original objects Rouen, from the Norman tiles Masséot Abaquesne (mid-sixteenth) through the Seasons of Nicolas Fouquay factory, golden age of earthenware of Rouen. We discover the sumptuousness of Rouen earthenware services through ceremonial and decorative objects. It is important to note that the museum is also open to contemporary.
