This historic Victorian townhouse hotel re-opened in August 2008 after an extensive refurbishment of all of the public areas, the conference facilities and many of the rooms.

The Durley Dean Hotel is benefiting from a GBP 4.2 million refurbishment, the first stage of which has now been completed.70 of the hotel's 117 en suite rooms have been fully refurbished to a very high standard and now feature stylish contemporary design and a warm atmosphere. From London:
- Follow the M25, then the M3, then the A35 into Bournemouth.
- You will pass the Asda and railway station on your left-hand side. Continue ahead, staying on the inside lane.
- At the next roundabout, take the exit left and follow the signs for Westcliff.
- This will lead you on to Durley Chine Road South.
- From here, follow the road round to the next roundabout, The Durley Dean Hotel is the red-bricked building.
- The car park is situated in Durley Gardens, halfway up the left-hand side. There is limited parking at the hotel, however there is a public pay and display car park opposite the hotel if required.
