The picturesque town of Swellendam is only two hours from Cape Town and the Garden Route. Enjoy watching the birds from a peaceful bench at the water's edge where "hides" have been created, stroll to the gum trees at the top of the farm and for the more energetic, take the gravel road which leads to the Breede Rivier. Other activities can be arranged independently. Swellendam offers a range of sporting facilities including golf, glider flips and whale watching flights, as well as water sking.

From Cape Town:

Travel 220 km, or 2 hours, along the N2 to Swellendam. As you pass the wheat silos on the outskirts of Swellendam, take the exit for Swellendam\Ashton. At the four-way stop after approximately 500 metres, turn left and drive for 2.2 km. The tar road becomes a gravel road and crosses an old iron bridge. Take the left turn-off to Klippe Rivier.

From Plettenberg Bay:

Take the N2 to Cape Town, a 3 hour journey, passing George. After the Bontebok Park sign, take the Swellendam exit. Drive through Swellendam following the road right through to the very end of town, approximately 5 km to a four-way stop. Then follow the instructions above.
