The initial cottages called Harbour View Cottages, Cape Town?s First Guest Street, has now become a village and has grown to over 40 properties.De Waterkant Village consists of several self-catering houses and apartments. All of the properties are within easy walking distance of the newly built Cape Quarter shopping centre, the city, restaurants, bars and fashionable nightspots.
The Hospitality Village is effectively a resort within a real, authentic living area, populated by locals.
The Villages are a daily celebration of real-life theatre. The Villages are intimate, with all the necessary entertainment and services within walking distance of the properties. Guests are encouraged to feel part of the Villages and to enjoy real hospitality by creating activities to introduce visitors to the locals, their food and their lifestyles.
A centralized reception acts as a service centre, allowing guests all the comforts of a hotel with all the freedom and independence of a private property. Guest services include daily housekeeping, concierge desk and tourist information. As well as friendly professional assistance, the reception desk is also a wireless internet access hotspot.
The housekeeping service operates Monday to Friday. The service is also available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays for an additional charge. Bed linen and towels are provided in all of the Village properties.
