Opened in 2007, the hotel is conveniently located in Manhattan's most trendy neighborhood, within minutes of Central Park and Riverside Park.With all new furniture and linen, Candy is the first boutique hostel in New York City to give you access to their 2,000 square foot lounge with pool/billiards, ping pong/table tennis, computer kiosks and many more. Relax on the couches and watch movies in the movie room, dubbed The Theatre, and enjoy the outdoor garden, known as The Porcelain. At night the lounge becomes a club scene.

In the lobby, to satisfy your computing needs, there is The Google Room, with all new computer kiosks and printers. There are also cash machines and vending machines for your convenience.
The Candy offers over 260 beds in spacious rooms with high ceilings. We also offer an activity desk staffed by multilingual team members that will help you plan tours and other activities.

The hostel offers easy access to and from any location. Just steps from the 1 or 9 subway line, you are moments away to The "Worlds Famous Harlem" district or Times Square. From the Major airports you can take from JFK the A train to meet the 1 or 9 line uptown and exit at 96th Street station, then walk down 1 block to 95th Street, and 1 block west to West End Ave, we are of the corner. From LGA jump on the M60 bus and exit at Broadway and west 106th Street, then walk to 95th street and follow the rest of the instructions, or jump on the 1 or 9 line for 1 stop and exit at 96th street station, then follow the previous directions. From the Port Authority walk to Times Square station and take the 1 or 9 line and follow the same instructions. From Penn Station again follow the 1 or 9 line uptown, and follow the instructions. Or just hop in a famous Yellow Cab.
