This 17th-c. town house was a witness to the construction of the church (first stone laid by Louis XIV in 1653, completed in 1722) and, on 5 October 1795 (13 Vendémiaire of the year IV), to the shooting that pitted Napoleon-Bonaparte’s troops against Royalist insurgents.
