Hotel Le Jardin de Cluny Paris

A wonderful hotel in general, with particularly outstanding and helpful staff (except for one of the breakfast staff). The breakfasts, although a bit overpriced, are nevertheless very good and in a marvelously stone-arched series of basement rooms. Wifi is available (you need a working wireless card) but not free. Be aware that the 01 rooms (e.g., 201, 301, 401, 501) are a little smaller than the 02 rooms because of space needed for the elevator. Even the 01 rooms, however, are larger than rooms in many traditional Parisian hotels. Despite our being in a nonsmoking room, we often smelled smoke when our windows were open and occasionally even when they were closed. We could also quite clearly hear water flowing through pipes whenever anyone in a nearby room used water. Despite this, I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to anyone who wants a clean room in a great neighborhood.
