Hotel des Arts Bastille Paris

ascenseur apparemment en construction. pas inutile pour le sixième étage. aucun luxe, mais installations neuves. Pas de télévision dans la chambre. Pour 55 euros dans Paris, très correct.

1.I suggest to add some info on the web site: the hotel doesn't have an elevator and have 6 floors. 2. Since the Charonne station is closed we walked to the hotel from the Voltaire metro station. For better orientation the hotel map on the web page should have all names of metro stations located nearby. 3. At the time I stayed at the hotel the room phone didn't provided outcoming/incoming calls. All calls go to a reception. The receptionist assured us that phone system will work very soon.
4.If the hotel renovation was complited in 2005, why there's no TV was installed?
5.Because there's a gap between a shower door and floor, floor was wet after every shower use(Room 506).
6. The was no light on the 4 floor stairway for 4 days. 7.There was dust and hair balls on the floor in the room. Clening service should be improved.
7. Addition of the secong chair and a small table would make the room more comfortable.
8. The receprionists were very friendly and answered on most of our questions promptly. But when I tried to book a shuttle (a shere ride minivan) to the airport from the reception, the receptionist had no idiea about this service to and from airport. Opening the web page of one of the companies providing the door-to-door airport connection didn't help. The receptionist explaned in detailes to me how to get to the CDG by the public transportation or Roissy bus. Probably the reception staff could be have a better training.
9.Is there the airconditioning in the hotel? If there isn't the hotel discription should have a word about it. This is important for people visiting Paris in summer time.
10. The bed frame is very fragil and it was broken already.

La qualité de l'hôtel correspond tout à fait aux prestations; par contre, le prix du petit dèj est trop élevé.

The hotel doesn't have lift and if you are on 5th floor then you will have to fetch your luggage all the way up to the 5th floor. You can clearly hear what people are talking in the next room.

I would recommend not to take this accommodation even if you get it for really cheap.

très bon rapport qualité-prix pour le tarif internet (47 € en mars 2006, soit 20 € moins du tarif affiché!)

The place was still being renovated so we got a good deal (42 euro per night) for the location. However, maybe because of renovation we had a mouse in our room a few nights. Also, the windows are very thin and all noise from the street is very audible. The room had only a bed and two chairs as furniture. Because of the renovation the place looked fairly nice, but it was still apparent that it was old. If the price is still a bargain, i would recomend the place to someone. The service was friendly, and it was a good location. Although comfort was sacrificed a bit.
