Le Vieux Logis was formerly a tobacco farm house and in 1952 the father of the present owner, Monsieur Giraudel, after retiring from his work in Paris, moved to this relaxing region away from all the city hustle, and decided to try and venture into the ever challenging hostellerie business. He evidently was successful and today, his son Bernard, the youngest of all, continued the business. The property is today one of great charm and elegance where every room has been tastefully decorated in different antique styles using a lot of soleiado fabrics to panel the walls in such professional way that it makes you think about doing the same at home, something far more beautiful than any other wall covering. The hotel is composed of three different houses all close to one and other. At the time we visited this property they were refurbishing the Mansard rooms in the attic of the main house to fit them with air conditioning, because according to the manager, who showed us the whole property, these rooms, because of being on the top floor, can be a bit hot in summer. but according to him, the others not, because of the thick walls. Nevertheless, one must keep in mind that summer in Europe, although is short, can be quite hot anywhere.
