We are located on the Cotentin peninsula, on the edge of the famous Utah Beach. Quettehou, is a small village that is lively all year round, and is just 800m from the sea. The hotel is set amidst a large park with large trees planted over a hundred years ago and provides secure parking for cars and bicycles. Breakfast is served in the building at the end of the garden or outside in summer, each room opening directly onto its own private terrace. Our bedrooms are extremely comfortable, all equipped with shower or bath, flat screen TV with digital reception and free WiFi throughout the building. The hotel also boasts two ground floor rooms suitable for disabled persons, with direct vehicle access and also 3 suites for 4 and 5 persons, including one split-level apartment. Chilled drinks are available from reception, along with a vast selection of documents providing details of things to see and do in the region. Bicycles are also available for hire and we will be only too delighted to provide you with advice on sights to see and good restaurants to enjoy in the surroundings.
Whether for sport or for meditation, the Cotentin peninusla offers visitors a range of fine country excursions on foot or by bicycle; you may also wish to take a boat trip out to sea or try your hand at fishing on foot or out at sea with a guide. There are also excellent opportunities for sailing at the yachting club of St Vaast. Isle of Tatihou, with its museums and Vauban fortifications such as Hougue Fort, is just a 5' boat trip away. Discover the oyster parks of St Vaast, one of the largest in France. The ports of Barfleur and Cherbourg, with its 8km long harbour that can be visited by boat. Valognes and its superb architectural heritage; Barbey D'aurevilly museum; Gatteville lighthouse and the Raz Blanchard ocean current, the strongest in Europe; the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg, a unique complex dedicated to the deep sea and its conquest, with many aquariums and a chance to visit the only nuclear submarine in the world, the Redoutable. Several riding clubs and golf courses in the region provide the opportunity to enjoy your favourite sport while taking in magnificent sea views.
