From Bordeaux Airport: Exit the airport and follow the signs for Libourne. After the traffic lights you will cross over the ring road (Rocade) and immediately take the slip road to the right which will take you onto the Rocade. Stay on this road, crossing over the large bridge (Pont d'Aquitaine) over the River Garonne. Shortly after you have crossed the bridge you will see a sign for Libourne to the right which you take. Just past the petrol (gas) station take the exit for Libourne. At the traffic light, turn left and you are on the N89. This is a dual carriageway with exit numbers. Take the last exit before the toll/motorway begins direction Libourne. This is still the N89 and becomes a single carriageway for about 6 kilometres. Just after you cross the River Dordogne there is an exit marked Bergerac. Take this exit and you are then on the D670. Continue past St Emilion on your left and at St Pey d'Armens the D670 becomes the D936. Continue through Castillon la Bataille in the Direction of Bergerac. Several kilometres after St Antoine de Breuilh, you will come to Port Ste Foy. Cross the Dordogne again and you are in Ste Foy la Grande. At the fourth set of traffic lights there is a sign to the right for 'Golf des Vigiers' and Eymet. This is the D18. Stay on this road for 8 kilometres and you will come to Château des Vigiers on the left hand side. From Bergerac: D936 towards Bordeaux, at Sainte-Foy-la-Grande turn left, D18 towards Eymet. From Marmande: At Marmande, D933 towards Bergerac, at Eymet, D18 towards Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. Many guests choose to take the super fast TGV train from Paris. It takes 3 hours to Libourne station, on the Bordeaux line, which is only a 50 minute drive from Château des Vigiers and we can organise a taxi transfer, though some guests prefer to take the local shuttle train to Ste Foy la Grande |
