"The culture and history of Boussac is intrinsically linked to its castle, built in the 12th century atop a rocky outcrop. Over the centuries the village built itself up around this fortress and remains of the fortified walls can still be seen today.
There is a great deal to see and do in Boussac: countryside walks, tennis, mountain-biking, fishing and over 100km of hiking routes leaving from the village. In Lavaufranche you will find a former Knights Templar headquarters with a square tower and a beautiful chapel. Les Pierres-Jaunâtres (yellow stones) the origin of which is still a mystery today. A footpath leads to a pile of rocks where visitors have tried in vain over the years to guess where the fabulous treasure of Toul is buried! Toul Sainte Croix, dating back to Caesar's times, possesses a stunning church with an ambulatory, granite columns seen nowhere else in the region and a seperate bell tower."
