Situated at the heart of a small vilage with a poulation of 2500, crossed by the river Braye, surrounded by 2800 hectares of forest, the Auberge offers pride of place to regional produce, such as mushrooms, Loué poultry and Jasnières wine. Major specialities include a local stew ("Marmitte Sarthoise") and a special dessert ("Petit Sarthois") made with rennet apples. The hotel has been run for some 27 years by Guy & Claudine Renier, the former running the show in the kitchen, while the latter runs the service side of things, in total compliance with the Logis de France charter.
