This colourfull Provençal villa is brand new. The property is detached and stands in the middle of its garden, 2500m². It has a south-facing terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture for outdoor dining. The garden is mostly grass and there are swings and a ping-pong table. There is a lovely private pool which has an alarm for safety and there are loungers for relaxing by the pool. There is parking space within the property.
The interior is very attractive having a light and cheerful atmosphere with five sets of French windows opening to the terrace. The house is very well equipped and has air conditioning.
During July 2008 a small apartment at the back of the property is occupied by the owner's uncle - he doesn't use the pool or overlook our tenant's garden.
We think this villa is in a great location: there is easy access both to traditional, rural Provence and to the lively Côte d’Azur.
The house is situated about 2km by car from the picturesque village of Montauroux which has a couple of good restaurants and a colourful local market on the village square, a few local shops including a good boulangerie. It is possible to walk to the village, about 20 minutes. There is a supermarket 3km and there are tennis courts 2km, horse riding 5km. The pretty little market town of Fayence is 10km. There is much to explore around Montauroux: Saint Cassien Lake, which is great for windsurfing and bathing, is about 6km; the ancient villages of the Var such as Bargemon, Seillans and Claviers are a short drive; the spectacular scenery of the Verdon Gorges is just over an hour’s drive; and it is only about 30km to the coast, either to Fréjus or to Cannes.
