At La Colombe we have 2 studio apartments who are both set up for 2 people. Each studio has his own private entrance, an bathroom en suite with a full size bath and shower, a newly fitted kitchen and a private terrace. The studio’s are within our traditional Basque style home in the grounds of a large romantic garden overlooking the Pyrenees mountains. The garden has a stone build BBQ for your convenience and shade seating areas. Each studio is self contained and measures 30m².

We are located in a unique setting which is just 15 minutes away from superb sandy beaches and within walking distance into the mountains. La Colombe is set just outside the traditional Basque village of St Pee sur Nivelle. The local towns of interest are Biarritz (12km), St Jean de Luz (10km), Bayonne (15km), Espelette (5km) and St Jean Pied de Port (45km)
The Spanish border is only 5 minutes away which opens up another dimension to this already diverse area. You can visit the old centre of San Sebastian (50km), the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao (80km) or the Arena of Pamplona (70km) on a days trip.

La Colombe is ideally situated for walking and cycling. The are many walking routes for any kind of fitness level. Walking in the Pyrenees mountains with a view to the Atlantic Ocean is just breathtaking. We have many walking maps and books and are happy to help you out finding a nice route that suites you.

From Biarritz Airport :
Drive out of the airport parking and at the first mini round about go first right and follow the road out of the mini industrial estate.
At the main round about indicate left and take the thrid exit on your right sign posted St jean de luz. You are on the RN10.
Look for a sign immediatly on your right St Pee sur Nivelle. Take this exit and go down the slip road, this road goes under the RN10 .
At the round about under the RN10 above you take the (second right turn) for St Pee s/ Nivelle and Arbonne.
Go over the railway bridge and at the next round about follow the direction for St pee and Arbonne (second right turn) ( straight over)
Continue on this road through Arbonne and continue on the same road which will bring you into St pee. (go to directions St Pee)

From Biarritz ;
Leave Biarritz on the Avenue du Presedent Fitzgerald Kennedy.
At the round about under the main road above you take the (second right turn) for St poee and Arbonne. Go over the railway bridge and at the next round about follow the direction for St pee and Arbonne (second right turn) ( straight over)
Continue on this road through Arbonne and continue on the same road which will bring you into St pee. ( go to directions for St Pee)

From St Pee sur Nivelle village:
When you are turning into St Pee Village, turn left at the new BNP Paribas Bank on the right hand side corner.
Continue through the village, until you are at the next round about. There is a netto supermarket on your right. Take the first right exit sign posted Sare.
Continue along this road, over the bridge for the river Nive.
Look for a sign on your right, a drawing of a tent for camping 300m ( blue and white) Indicate right.
Turn at the second right after this sign, go up the hill and find our wooden gates second enterence on the left. The house in named La Colombe written in stone on the whaite wall.
