The houses, suitable for 2 to 3 persons, lie in a valley with pine-trees and Spanish chestnut trees, near the seventeenth-century farm, Cartayrade, and an old chapel.
The environs make nice long walks and mountain-biking very attractive.

You can reach Cartayrade using the A75
In Lodève follow the road signs for ‘Lunas/Bédarieux’.
Continue through Lunas in the direction of Bédarieux.
When entering the village ‘Le Pont sur Orb’, cross the river ‘Orb’ and after the bridge turn right towards Avène.
Go through the villages ‘Serieys, ‘Truscas’, ‘La Rode Basse’, ‘Les Bains d’Avène’ and enter Avène.
In Avène, turn left across the green bridge in the direction of Serviès.
Turn left at the T-junction and go through Serviès : be careful, the road is very narrow !
After 3 kilometers you’ll see on your right the chapel of St Maurice and on your left Cartayrade.
