The School of Chemistry, Mulhouse has the distinction of sheltering within its walls since 1966, the Museum of Mineralogy of the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse. Minerals have presented four different sources: minerals recovered after the war, and some samples of the mineral collection of the original School of Chemistry, minerals obtained (by purchase or donation) other national museums, numerous minerals purchased between 1960 and 1966. The minerals are highly variable in size, their mass from a few tens of grams to about 40 Kg Their origins are diverse and representative of the main sites or countries known for their mineral wealth: Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa (Namibia) , United States, Romania, Switzerland, Germany ...
