The Museum of Guéthary was created in the fifties on the ground floor of a beautiful neo-Basque villa of the early century thanks to the donation of the sculptor George Clement Swiecinski. Most of his work is in museum collections Guéthary and the Basque Museum of Bayonne, the Museum of Fine Arts in Pau and the funds of the Association of Francis Jammes Orthez also have pieces made by the sculptor Guéthary. The museum also includes first editions and objects that belonged to John Paul Toulet and part of the correspondence of the poet who lived in Béarn Guéthary during the last years of his life.
