A Cow Cave (near Niaux, Ariege, Pyrenees), an exceptional site in the archeology of the Pyrenees.
With the first excavations of the archaeologist F. Garrigou, in 1860, then to those conducted by R. Robert from 1952, the Cave of La Vache has delivered more than one million archaeological remains of a rare quality: bones and teeth of animals, homes, flint tools, tools and weapons of bone and antler. These witnesses of prehistoric times tell us about the environment and lifestyle of the hunter at the time of the Magdalenian (approximately 14 000 years).
