The Church of St. John Baptist de Bourricos depended on the origin of the barony of Labouheyre, possession of the house of Albret.
An opening Romanesque from the late eleventh century was discovered in the apse, behind an altar. The main door has a pointed arch and simple ribs of the fifteenth century. The chapel also has a polychrome wooden statue of the sixteenth century St. John the Baptist, under whose protection it is placed.
Once hospital for pilgrims of Saint Jacques de Compostela, the Espitaou home, located on the site is occupied by the brothers of the Virgin of the Poor. With a bell tower and two bells, it's a quiet place, surrounded by a barnyard, suitable for stopovers spiritual prayer and silence, near the fountain St. John the Baptist called miraculous cure deemed diseases of the skin, including eczema.
