Porte Serpenoise

The door is Serpenoise a city gate at the corner of Avenue and Robert Street Schummann of General Gaston Dupuis in the neighborhood of Metz Centre. It remains the symbolic witness many historic events associated with the city of Metz, it marked the southern boundary of the third century during the construction of the Roman walls, until the early twentieth century when the destruction of the enclosure .
