Musée Rolin

The collections are divided into four departments: archeology, medieval art, history and fine arts. The Department of Archaeology has the appearance and activities of the ancient city, the department of medieval art has, among other pieces such as "Temptation of Eve" Gilbertus of the "Nativity" of Master of Moulins. The history department has documents referring to Autun the past from the 15th to the 19th century. Finally, Section Fine Arts, introduced by a gallery devoted to decorative arts, bringing together French and European paintings from the 17th century to 20th century (Teniers, Natoire, Deveria, H. Vernet, M. Denis). The Musée Rolin is now enriched by the gift Andrew and Monique Frénaud which includes 94 works by artists such as Esteve, Miro, Ubac, Geneviève Asse, Bazaine, Fautrier ...
