Shortly before his death Fernand Leger had acquired a property at the foot of the village of Biot: the Mas Saint-André to build in the gardens of large polychrome ceramic sculptures. After the death of the artist, Nadia Léger and Georges Bauquier decided to build the farmhouse near Saint-André museum to showcase the work of Fernand Léger.
