Musée Larrey

Surgeon of Napoleon's armies, Dominique Larrey was born in Beaudéan in 1766. The epic fabulous surgeon's head of the Imperial Guard began with the Revolution and the Empire. The early revolutionary campaigns, Dominique Larrey is the creator of "flying ambulances" and the precursor of emergency medicine. Present on all the battlefields, the famous surgeon of the Grand Army covered himself with glory.
