The donor, Eugene Farcot, born in Sainville, February 20, 1830, had two passions: watchmaking and aeronautics, which may be added travel. After studying, he obtained an engineering degree from the school to watch Cluses (Jura) and created a watch factory in Saint Ouen. His business took him around the world from which he brought the parts that are stored in the "Museum".
