The museum, established in 1919, is housed in a former mansion of Renaissance historical monument, the hotel Mistral Montdragon. In a high architectural quality, the building houses a remarkable courtyard.
Its collections include four sections: archeology, natural sciences, ethnology, graphic arts and photography.
