Musée de la Céramique

The Museum of Ceramics is installed since 1984 as part of the old hotel built in 1657 Hocqueville and redecorated in the eighteenth century. It has a collection of about 6000 ceramics from the sixteenth to twentieth centuries, from the most famous factories (Delft, Nevers, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and Strasbourg). There are still a majority of original objects Rouen, from the Norman tiles Masséot Abaquesne (mid-sixteenth) through the Seasons of Nicolas Fouquay factory, golden age of earthenware of Rouen.
