The Museum of Fine Arts was inaugurated in 1989 in the former bishop's residence. The vaults of the museum are home to a remarkable collection of thanksgiving offerings (ex-voto) as well as remains of a gallo-roman dwelling and of 3rd century ramparts. The archeological collection is displayed on the ground floor and includes an immense bronze pedestal dedicated to the Emperor Claudius. A gothic hall contains rare sculptures and eclesiastical items from the Middle-Ages. Paintings dating from the 17th to the 20th century are exhibited on the 1st floor with a section devoted to the work of Thomas Couture and another to Séraphine of Senlis and other naive artists.
