The importance of its collections has earned the Calvet Museum to be included among the thirty-two ranked French museums. He has over twenty-eight thousand numbers in the inventory, which belong to fields as diverse as archeology, fine arts (paintings, sculptures, drawings), the decorative arts (jewelry, pottery and porcelain, tapestry, metalwork) and ethnology (Asia, Oceania, Africa).
