Monastère Notre Dame de Lérins

This fortified monastery is one of the finest examples of feudal architecture in Provence. The construction of fortifications, begun around 1050, continued for three centuries, that of the Trinity Chapel was conducted in IX and Xth centuries.
The abbey is now the residence of Cistercian monks, who since the sixteenth century, operated on the island culture of the vine. Monastic life prints a pace that we know more about the continent.
