Mémorial australien

This memorial is the custodian of remembrance in Australia. It was inaugurated in 1938. There are engraved the names of 11,000 soldiers who died in France and buried in unmarked graves. 10,772 are still missing. The Anzac Day ("Day of the Army Corps Australian and New Zealand" - at Pentecost) is celebrated every year. At the top of the tower, a viewpoint allows us to situate the main places where the fighting took place in 1918.
