Maison Jean Vilar

Its collections comprise the fund Jean Vilar on the life and career of the playwright, and brings his personal archives as well as information concerning the shows he created at the Avignon Festival and the NPT: texts directory, collections of press, photographic contacts, posters, programs, audio shows, about two thousand costumes and models of costumes made by the painters who worked for Vilar, including Gischia Leon, Marion Prassinos and Edouard Pignon. The collections also include a general fund gathering hundreds of magazines, a thousand video titles and more than twenty thousand books (texts of pieces and studies) in the theater, opera, dance, circus, mime, puppetry, the music hall, variety, cinema and all documents on the Festival since 1971 (posters, programs, news, photos, videos).
