Located Rue Lampčze, this monument was cylindrical basin water supply brought to Nīmes with the ancient aqueduct of 49 km and the Pont du Gard which was the main work.
The holes at the base of Castellum, mark the location of the lead pipes that distribute water in different parts of the city, spas and fountains. The water was a large rectangular section, still visible today.
End point of the aqueduct, the Castellum is one of many relics still visible between Uzčs and Nīmes: The Bridge Bornčgre, the Arches of worms and Tunnels Sernahc and the Pont du Gard.
