The Crescent Lake is an artificial lake at the confluence of Chalaux and Cure. It straddles the departments of Nièvre and Yonne, in the regional park of Morvan.
At the border between the departments of Nievre and Yonne, the lake is located on the territory of communes Chastellux-sur-Cure, Marigny-Church and Saint-Germain-des-Champs.
It covers an area of 165 ha and withholding a maximum capacity of 14.25 million cubic meters is used by a hydroelectric plant and also supplies the drinking water Avallonnais.
