The Lac de Maine Anjou is a neighborhood located on the right bank of the Maine, about 4 km from downtown. This is the newest neighborhood of Angers, built in the last quarter of the twentieth century. It is named after the artificial lake created by the municipality in the early 70's and the rvivages which was built an amusement park.
The Lac de Maine is now the location of the less dense the city. It was conceived as a garden city of low density and environmentally friendly - with, for example the conservation of many rural roads turned into pedestrian and cycle traffic. The frame juxtaposes small apartment buildings or semi-collective, including public housing, and islets pavillonaire.
Over the 90 years it has spread westward with the construction of the ZAC Mollières (some 500 houses mostly pavillonaire) as wood Castle Mollières separates the area of activity and Hoirie Angers-Beaucouzé.
