Fort villageois de Mareugheol

The fort of Mareugheol is one of the best examples of some 60 strong Limagne villagers who, between 12th and 14th century, were built by the people to ensure their own safety. Here is a square of about 60 m square with a tower at each corner. Inside houses, narrow streets and the village church.
