The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Colleville date the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, a historic monument in 1840. It was almost completely destroyed on landing by firing American destroyers because the tower was used as a vantage point to seven German soldiers who communicated details of the shooting German batteries. Reconstruction lasted from 1946 to 1951 and has given the church its appearance before the war.
