Ecomusée de l'Avesnois

Located in the former mill Prouvost-Masurel (1874), it is dedicated to the worsted industry, which made the reputation of Fourmies in the nineteenth century. The exhibition rooms include a large fleet of machines for spinning and weaving representative of technological change in the second half of the nineteenth century until the 1970s. During demonstrations, the operation of some of them allows visitors to understand the various stages of development of the son and tissues.
