Ferns Castle is one of the largest castles in French, with an area of ​​two hectares or for some "the largest fortress in Europe."
It is composed of three chambers whose walls are beautifully preserved.
If the stately home is in ruins, the towers still stand majestically. Some are visited (and tour around the Hallay Hague Saint-Hilaire (twelfth century), Tower Raoul (fifteenth century), Melusine tower).
At the entrance, there is a triple water mill.
Access to the west curtain can observe the upper town.
