History (with a capital H) has several times met Chissay over the centuries. Located between Montrichard and Chenonceaux, this old castle was built by Charles VII of France to the treasurer Pierre Berard, husband of Anne de Ronsard. Charles VII and Louis XI stayed here many royal acts evidenced.
