Basilique Saint-Michel Archange

Its facade, bell tower, a square formed of pebbles representing Grimaldi coat of arms, its majestic slopes, it is a jewel of baroque art. Begun in 1619, its construction took place over several centuries. Its facade was redesigned in the nineteenth century: columns drums smooth, Ionic, twin columns, Corinthian ... St. Michael the Archangel church was proclaimed in March 1999, by decree of Pope John Paul II. As such, granted in perpetuity, rewards the dynamism of the liturgical and pastoral life of the church Menton. Every summer in August, the Festival of Music of Menton, invests the square of the Basilica of St. Michel.
