The beach of Cavalaire-sur-Mer is also the longest sand beach of the coast.
The town of Saint-Tropez is also situated in the Var. The north of the department must not be forgotten either: the Haut-Var and its villages high up in the hills, with the majestic sites of the Gorges of the Verdon and the Lake of Sainte-Croix, or the south east with the Lake of Saint-Cassien.
