Between Ouistreham and Courseulles, La Louveraie, two minutes walk from the beach, is one of the oldest Bernières’ farms (18th century) located in a charming village called Bernières sur Mer, in Normandy, closed to Caen and the Memorial.
You can come by train from Paris (Gare Saint-Lazare) it is very easy (more details lin the and of the page) or from Deauville airprort.
You will stay in charming independant house IT IS GREAT FOR A STAY MINIMUM 3 NIGHTS : king size or twins beds, personal shower- toilets, room/tv dvd, books and a barbecue to enjoyed a tiny garden when the weather is fine ! You can prepare yourself your meal, you will have a micro ondes owen and a frigidaire, food stores very close. A picnic basket is also lend.
You will enjoyed your breakfast to start a beautifull day. BRUNCH is possible untill 13 o'clock add 15euros /person.
We will do our best to make yourselves comfortable during your stay.
M&F bicycles are available on spot (free of charge)
You can visit Omaha Beach (American), Arromanches (GoldBritish), Juno(Canadian) and Ouistreham (Sword British & French) and many other places.
We will give you every information you need to go around and we will be pleased to make your stay at La Louveraie a very pleasant one.

For the main road you arrived in Bernières, just go straight on to the church, keep the same direction, keep on the right to the second street, take this one this the good one la rue MONTAUBAN; 31 is just at the very beginning. This is a very dark gate "La Louveraie".
BUT PLEASE DON'T PARK just in front the little glass door this is forbidden! and it is not my home thank you for them Ring the bell more than one time and just wait few minutes I am on the way , A very little Cairn "PEPSI" is also waiting for you, she is very cheerfull. DON'T BE AFRAID !
Have a good trip, be carefull
If you come from "GARE SAINT-LAZARE", take the train direction Caen-Cherbourg (many trains). It is about two hours to Caen.
When you arrived you will look for the bus station very closed to the railways station on your left. You can buy your ticket (5 euros and ask if there are special price for tourist if it is open / closed on Sunday)
Then take the bus n°3 BERNIERES COURSEULLES, stop at Bernières Centre nearby the church. Cross the road go straigt in front of you RUE ACHILL MIN on the left there is Rue de l'Église, still go to the top, you will see on a gate two blue numbers ; take the street which one have no name!! RUE MONTAUBAN.
Untill the end walk and you will see "the bouquiniste" on your right. LA LOUVERAIE is next the brown door, you will notice "Attention aux Chiens" on the side wall there it is!!

Christine, October 2011 (France) Note : 5/5 Une excellente adresse. Un vrai havre de paix propice au repos. Nous avons rarement trouver un lieu où la prestation était de cette qualité.
Un endroit très calme où l'accueil fut sympathique, la maisonnette est assez petite, mais très très fonctionnelle, extrêmement confortable et propre. Et aussi des petites attentions pour nos compagnons à 4 pattes.
En résumé : convivialité, site à deux pas de la mer, accueil, tout fut excellent.
Nous y retournerons très bientôt !
