Delicious evening meals are served in the dining room with it's large wood burning stove great for those cold winter evenings.All cooked and prepared from fresh local produce by the owner, a former head chef who has travelled extensively and worked all over the world
Chaillac has plenty to offer visitors; the beautiful Lac de Rochgaudon, just 5 minutes walk from the house, comprises two large lakes both excellent for fishing, permits are available in the village and cost 18€.
The large beach has a supervised swimming area with a waterslide. Well maintained grounds, children’s play area and café. In summer the spectacular firework display at the lake is not to be missed.
The village has a beautiful old church, two café bars, an excellent restaurant, bakery, butcher and pharmacy all based around the village square, which on a Wednesday is the site of a small market.
